Zia Orphanage case: Khaleda gets 10 years in jail

Tuesday (October 30th) High Court Justice M. Inayatur Rahim and Justice. The Bench comprising Mostafizur Rahman gave the order.
ACC lawyer Khurshid Alam said on the other hand, there is no scope for Khaleda Zia to participate in the upcoming election.
On February 8, Khaleda Zia was sentenced to five years imprisonment by the fifth Special Judge Court in Bakshibazar in the capital. Immediately after the pronouncement of the verdict, he was taken to the old Central Jail of Nazimuddin Road the same day.
After this appeal, Khaleda Zia appealed to the High Court. He is currently undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
After the verdict, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) appeals to the increase in the punishment of Khaleda. The Khaleda, on the other hand, appealed for redemption.
The judge rejected the appeal filed by Khaleda on Tuesday.
