Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said, "Technical education will be taken as the basis for the development of the country." Because technical education can only free the country from poverty and unemployment.
He said this in the Orientation Program of Scholarship Students under the 'China TVET Scholarship - 2018' in the auditorium of Institute of Diploma Engineers Bangladesh (IDEB) at the Kakrail in the city on Monday (October 1st).
Nurul Islam Nahid said, 'Unemployment will reduce the skill based technical education. If this can not be achieved, then education will have to deal with unemployment. '
The Education Minister said that the Chinese government is giving scholarships to Bangladeshi technical institutes in Bangladesh, "This year 474 students will take part in three-year diploma and equivalent courses with Chinese scholarship. In 2010, 308 students went to China under the 'China Scholarship Program'.
He also said, "Government has taken various steps for the expansion, quality improvement and modernization of technical education. Nearly two thousand teachers are being trained at Naniyan Polytechnic Institute in Singapore and in Guangzhou, China.
The program was presided over by the Secretary of the Department of Technical Education and Madrasah. Alamgir Director General of Technical Education Ashok Kumar Biswas and President of Bangladesh Institute of Diploma Engineers AKM Hamid attended the meeting.
