Judge of the Special Special Judge Court-5 on Monday (October 29th) in the administrative building of the old central jail of Nazimuddin Road. Akhtaruzzaman gave the verdict in this case. The verdict was pronounced in the absence of Khaleda Zia.
Although the prosecutors were present at the time, no defense lawyer was present in the court.
The judge entered the court around 11am. 30 minutes before the judge entered the court of the state party court. The judges began judging the verdict at 11:30 pm. The security around the court was strengthened from the morning of the day of the verdict.
Earlier, the High Court rejected the leave to appeal against the continuation of the trial of Zia Charitable Trust corruption case in absence of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia. A seven-member Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Monday (October 29th) gave the order.

After this, the chargesheet was filed in the court on January 16, 2012. The trial of the accused in this case started on March 19, 2014, in the form of a complaint.
Earlier, on February 8 this year, Zia Orphanage Trust was sentenced to five years' rigorous imprisonment in the corruption case against Khaleda. At the same time Khaleda Zia's eldest son and BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, each of the five accused in the case, was sentenced to 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
