Different land commissions soon for ethnic populations: Menon

Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon said the government is going to decide to set up a separate land commission for small ethnic populations soon.

Rashed Khan said, "Rice is distributed to 30 kg of rice for every 50 lakh families of the backward population at just 10 rupees. A further 132 social security net programs have been taken up. In this way, if the development work continues, we will be able to develop 100 percent development with the marginal population of the country.

In the morning, on Sunday (October 7th), at the CIRDAP Auditorium in the capital, he said these issues related to the social security program and the small ethnic group for the grassroots conference.

Social Welfare Minister Menon said, "Problems in education or social awareness as well as the biggest problem of the small ethnic population of the area is land problem.

He said, "The present government is working to bring the backward population back to the country through social safety net."

PKSF chairman Chaired by Kazi Khalikuzzaman Ahmad, the program was addressed by Director General of Social Services Gazi Mohammad Nurul Kabir, Social Security Specialist Mohammad Khaled Hasan, Senior Research Fellow of Bangladesh Development Research Institute (BIDS). Nazneen Ahmed.
