Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina that Assamese Muslim nationals who were dropped from the NRC list will not be sent back to Bangladesh. Sheikh Hasina's political adviser HT Imam confirmed this in a statement.
The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had assured Bangladesh several days back that the Indian nationals who did not trace Assam from the NRC list of Assam will not be returned to Bangladesh.
Now Prime Minister Narendra Modi also assured about this. A top official of Bangladesh said on Friday that the Prime Minister of Bangladesh assured the Prime Minister of india personally personally.
In this context, Sheikh Hasina's political adviser HT Imam said, "The Prime Minister has personally assured the Prime Minister that the names of those who have been dropped in the NRC list will not be returned to Bangladesh."
However, the Imam did not tell the details of what exactly was said to the Prime Minister of the two countries. He also said that the Government of India has repeatedly assurred that no one will be sent to this country so that the atmosphere of unrest does not create before the end of the year in Bangladesh.
In this context, however, the BJP spokesman did not make any comments in the capital Delhi. Imam further said that Indian High Commissioner Harsavardhana Srigla in Dhaka repeatedly said that it is not concerned about it. Imam said that the Indian High Commissioner also said that it is an internal matter of India.
